Hey guys,
I am new to this, I would like to know little bit about k3 visa info.
I applied I129F for my wife on May 1. I know it will take another month or so. My question is that, does my wife have to go to the embassy in India when MSC send the paper work to Consulate in India or they notify her in mail???


Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I believe you will receive a notification from Chicago/Missouri that your wifes file has been sent to the country she is living. Then she gets a notification in the mail by your countries us embassy that she needs to apply for a k3 visa at the us embassy in her country probably in another month or so.


My timeline for my wives k3 visa is---

I mailed my I-130 on 04/28/2003

Got my notice of action (I-130) on 05/05/2003

Mailed my I-129f on 05/05/2003


Received the first NOA(I-129f) on 05/12/2003

which says it may take 60 -180 days to process and also has a number to call for the status enquiry.

Here is my timeline....

Mailed I-130 ( 4/22/03)
Received NOA (4/28/03)

Mailed I-129F (4/28/03)
Received NOA (5/1/03)

Mine says it will take about 60-90 days to process this case.

its been about month since I applied, I will check on it end June.

I Called my local senator to follow up my case with Chicago office for my wifes k3 visa.They told me on 05/29/2003 that the cases received on 04/28/2003 were been worked on.

If we go by that YOU should receive the approval notification very soon possibly this week of 06/09/2003.

Please let us know if and when that happens
