I-130 filed with TSC in March 2002. I129F for K-3 sent to Chicago in March 2003 and notice of receipt received within a week. May 5th received notice that K-3 approval granted and forms sent to New Hampshire who will contact me with further details and instructions.
Anyone have any idea how long this will take?
I am in Canada and lived in U.S. 1994 - 2000. Married husband USC in 1997. However, lost green card when I came back to Canada to care for dying mother - was out over one year.

Received package from U.S. Consulate in Montreal on May 23. They however want an original birth certificate. My original was sent with my I-130 application because they wanted an original too. Am now waiting to get this. Hope to get everything sent back to Consulate by mid June. Anyone have any idea how long it takes for interview and/or if Toronto is still doing interviews?

Hi zamigail,

Are you sure you had to send in the original birth certificate? As far as I remember, I-130 application form does not require one to submit the birth certificate.

My timeline is as follows:

05/02/2003: I-130 mailed to California Service Center
05/09/2003: NOA received
05/10/2003: I-129F mailed to INS Chicago
05/17/2003: 1st NOA received

Good luck everyone.
