Is there an 8th year extension? The way things are going in my State, 7th year extension may not be adequate. What happens when 7th year runs out while LC is still pending for say 3 years?

I think you can extend H1 on yearly extension till a decision is made on the green card.

You get yearly extensions after 6 years - call it any name - 7th year , 8 th year... and you get till your case is with INS.
