I had applied for my j2 visa waiver without having a divorce. I knew that I wasnt allowed to do so, but that was the only thing I could think of that time. So, after obtaining all the three no objection letters, positive sponsor views, today my website says " ineligible to apply for waiver on this basis". Well, I always knew this but my question is does that mean that I can be eligible to apply for the waiver after I divorce and go on f1 status( my visa expires on 30th Nov.) or do I have to start the process all over again. The website did not say waiver denied, it says "ineligible to apply for waiver on this basis". What I can do since I am not denied the waiver officially. Please advice as mine is a very peculiar position.
