J1 Visa 5-year extension and H1

Dear All,

I got information that J1 visa has extended for five year. My J1 Visa period (3 years) will be completed in 2007 and I want to know that if I will utilize two years extension, then after (total five years) can I change my visa status from J1 to H1 (after getting waiver for two year home residency requirement).

I mean all the existing rules will be the same or they will change with the extension of J1 Visa.

Please if anybody can give me any information on this I will be greatfull. It is urgent.

I have received a J1 visa for five years.I have applied for a work and travel programe for students and I visited the US for 3 months this summer.I came back before the school started to continue my studies.Can I go back next summer in the US just with my passport?Or, I still need to apply for a programme and stuff like this?On my visa says that "bearer is not subject to section 212(E).two year rule does not apply" what does that mean? help me pls.
