Greetings
I have been in the US last year as a J1 student.
I am now in Canada I have not done the two years home residency
I want to get married to a friend of me who is an american cetizen
Can you kindly advice me if there is away to get married
I can visit her and get married in the US
Can I apply for a K visa from canada
Should I return to my country to do the 2 years home residency
Please your advice

she needs to file I-129f fiance visa will get you over if she is your fiance
really?
however marriage is serious thing you might want to contact a lawyer because i dont think what you are trying is legal.

Thank you so much for your reply Eric
I am just curious if you think that having a previous J1 visa may interfer with the application process of the K visa.
As you know according to J1 visa I have to return to my Country for 2 years before being able to immigrate to the US or apply for a work residency.
Is K visa a long process?

my wife waited about nine months in her home country then came through
the K-1 visa or I-129f is fiance visa that means you have the intent to marry a us citizen, when you arrive you need to get married within 3 months
and need alot of supporting documentation

THanks Eric
Do you think that if I get married her it would be easier
I can go to visit her in US and get married and then return home
If this may help I will try I really want to know all the details
The thing is that I do not think I have a lawyer in my home country who knows much about these process. I have read the web but you know that asking persons who had the same thing before is the best source of details
I wish it all goes alright
