Is CP not advised for employees of smaller consulting companies?

My sponsoring company is a small consulting company with about
ten employees. My credentials are very strong (7 years US exp
plus a Masters from a good US univ). But will the size of the
company be a problem if I go for CP?

I dont think size should be an issue. If your company is financially strong than you should be good to go for CP.

Patta - do you know of any successful CP cases with smaller companies. I guess it should not be an issue, since the company\'s solvency is verified during the I-140 stage, but I have been hearing some rumors lately, and am being paranoid, I guess.

You are correct. Solvency is what counts. I am sure there are many people on the forum who are from small companies of 10 or less people.

I agree with Patta that solvency issue is resolved at the 140 stage itself

Once that is done and you have all ur papers in order as well as the company has the permanent position open for you after the GC, there is no risk in CP.
