Interviewed yesterday but I was not recommended for approval during interview!! Any idea why?

There is no "primary" for adults filing N-400 even if there was at the green card stage. Either person in a married couple can get citizenship on their own, before or without the other applying for citizenship.

At this point, primary vs. derivative only matters if USCIS discovers that there was something wrong at the green card stage. If the primary's green card was granted by mistake, or due to fraud, the derivative may be denied naturalization and/or have their GC revoked on that basis.
