Interesting experience with immigration after becoming a US citizen

A CBP officer can say all kinds of things..doesn't mean it's true. A friend of mine was once grilled by a CBP officer asking if he had a criminal record..in the end the CBP officer said.."Just messing with you man, you're free to proceed". Very unprofessional of the officer, something that happens often I'm sure.

No, it was 2008. The officer was just angry, he also asked him before, how he can afford to travel and is not working. And where he gets money from.

Entering the United States as the GC holder and later as the USC was always smooth and fast for me. Not much difference there. However, after becoming the USC, Canadian border guards started to inspect my passport more closely. When I used to be a GC holder, Canadians sometimes would not even look at the GC or in the worst case just take a glimpse. Now, they scan my passport card every time I cross the border and ask more questions. Logically, I would assume it should be other way around
