Hi everyone,

Just could not believe my eyes but its true my 140 got approved today, withing six months which is amzing looking at the back log they have. Funny part is EAD and Ap are still not approved(got RFE on 14 may , replied back on June 22) but no news yet.

Can anyone explain what does approval of I140 mean in terms of changing job. Can I change jobs now and if I change does it still have to be similar job or it could be any job I want.

Congrats on your approval and yes, you can change your job now as long as you have completed 180 days after filing 485 and can use AC21 now and ofcourse after you get your EAD.

Approved 140 always gives you a leverage that you are not risky when you take a permanent job, but you also need to be aware that your GC sponsoring employer doesnt give you headaches incase you get any queries from INS.
