When my friend and his family left the country the I-94 attached to the passport was not collected by the airline agent. The concern is that the
I-94(s) attached to the passport9s) are expired, however the I-94 that came with the H1-B (after change of employer) was still valid when they left the country.
Question is what action should my friend take. One suggestion was to turn in the I-94(s) (attached to the passport) to the consulate in the country of his current residence. He plans to return to the US in a year; will he have any problems at that time?
