I moved to the USA Jan 1980. Sure lived illegally until I meet my current wife and have two kids who are US citizens. I was sent to Australia in 1996 and returned to the US in 1997. The problem I had packed my Green Card into the container that was on its way back to the US.
I came in through BC into Seattle that was home. The way I came in was on the Visa Waiver Program (I-90W), as I'm an Australian. Since then we moved to NY
Last year I had to renew my GC, this was approved and in December I got a letter from ICE informing me I need to come down to 26 Federal Plaza NYC. I meet with ICE and they informed me I had come in on the VW Program and was to be deported. They told me to come back April 28th 2005; I was given a deportation letter and was told I had 90 days to depart the US.
ICE has taken away my Green Card; my Alien Number is Null and VOID

Currently I'm residing in the UK, does anyone know what steps need to be taken to get back my Green Card and be able to reside in the US.

Thanks in advance for any help.
