Is there a time frame in which I should fill I-9 form with the human resources?
My GC terminated the H1 visa (valid until september 2002) but I still do not want my
employer to know that I have the GC in my hands. Is there a problem if I fill I-9 in September.

By not informing your employer about GC you are putting them at legal risk. This stick has two ends...
 
I agree with Yooper. I think it is better to file I-9. Still you can talk to your HR, if you don\'t

You can ask HR who you need to contact inorder to update your I9, which needs to be updated.
The person which you will talk to will look at your I551 stamp and make the change. If you are in a big company, most chances are none of your managers will know of your PR status.

I am not sure what benefit this will bring you.
