140 Approved in 5 Days

My 140 has been approved in 5 days under premium processing. It was received in Nebraska on 9/11 and approved on 9/15. Two points about the 140 :
1) I had an approved 140 through my earlier employer with a PD of 9/13/2000, This is has been retained in the just approved 140 (that was the main purpose of filing in premium process) ,
2) I did not have experience letter for a short period of 2 months from one of my employer, instead I had an affidavit from a colleague (not a manager).

The USCIS website has a LUD of 9/13 and the status stll shows up as blank, However the attorney got the approval notice today and sent me a pdf copy of the same.

Congratulations SK_31,

Where to check the LUD ? Can you paste the link ? Can we get the Receipt# on Premium Processing ?

Powerman,

You need to register with USCIS at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp.

Add the receipt #, after registration, and you can see when the case was last updated and also get an email notification whenever it is updated.

Regarding my case, I have a correction to make. I had entered wrong Receipt # (by a digit) after registration, hence was looking at the wrong case at the USCIS website. With the correct #, I see the status as Approved (on 9/15).

Advantages?

My labor got approved couple of weeks back and my lawyer applied for regular I-140. My 6-year H1 expires on Sep 01, 2007, so i can apply for a H1 extension on Feb 01, 2007 at the earliest.

My question is, are there any advantages to go for I-140 premium processing except in the case where i may lose my job before the regular I-140 is approved.

I am just looking at different options before shelling out another 1000 bucks.

Any inputs are appreciated. Thanks.

The only advantage is that...Once your I-140 approved you are eligible for 3 yr H1 extension, you can upgrade to premium processing I-140, consult your lawyer.

Thoda,

Same situation here, mine H1 is expering on Jan 07, I requested my lawyer to file I-140 Premium, How soon we get the Receipt No/Date info, once we submit? USCIS email the info to lawyer?

Thanks

Powerman

If it is I-140 Premium Process it shouldn't take more than 15 days after you received your notice date. You will get notice date as asson as USCIS receive your I-140 support documents.
Best of Luck
