I-130 Approved Quickly but Need to file I-824?

Hi everyone.

The good news is that my I-130 has been approved 2 weeks ago much quicker than expected. (We filed it in early September!) It was approved concurrently with my K-3 petition

The bad news is that on the approval notice for the I-130, it stays that if we wish for consular processing for the visa, we must file I-824 to request it. I think they are mistaken in thinking that I am already in the U.S.

I'm so confused. Now, should I just come on the K-3 visa base and adjust my status as soon as I arrive in the U.S. or should I file I-824 request consular processing for my I-130? (god knows how long that may take!)

Is anyone going through the same thing??

what did you mark on your I-130 - AOS or CP?

and you should do whatever is more convenient for you. Doing AOS would allow for you to be together sooner, I guess.
