How long to get actual EAD after approved

Hello,
My EAD was approved after the approval of 140.
The online status says "we ordered you a new card" or something to that effect.
I did not get an interim EAD yet.

My question is: How long after the approval will the card actually arrive? If it takes a long time, would I be safer if I get an iEAD?

I know this is a 485 forum, and this question is not pertinent here. However, I guess most of you would have been thru this, and would be better placed to answer this question.

details:
concurrent filing : 8/27/02
140 approved: 2/26/03
EAD approved: 3/4/03
AP not approved yet. The ND is 8/29/02.

Hi could you please let me know , if your EAD approval from CSC or other.
I'm curious because our ND : 8/23/02 , still waiting for EAD.

Congrats of EAD approval

Looks like CSC has started approving EAD cases.
I am waiting for mine to be approved.

WAC-02-272-XXXXX.
 
2-3 days...

you cannot get iEAD if the EAD application is approved. San Jose INS typically ask you to wait to get your card in the mail..
the safer way is to wait for 90 days ( anyway no EAD is approve before that anyway ) and get an IEAD...later if the EAD comes...great..otherwise you are still ok.
In this economy..it is critical that you have iEAD/EAD at all times.
 
EAD card after approval

Now that my EAD is approved, I gues I cannot get an iEAD at the local office here.
How long will the card take to arrive? The status says that "we ordered you a card, we will mail it as soon as it is ready"
However, the AVM says that it might take 100 days for the card to arrive.

Does it really take 100 days to prepare the card and mail it?
Or a week or 2 is more reasonable?
 
EAD approved and Cards received

It takes about a week to receive EAD cards in mail.
EAD approval on 4 th March 2003
Received Cards today 10 March 2003

AP is not yet received

Will the cards be mailed out with the receipt notice?

Another thing I noticed, all my NDs are in 8/02, the EAD was approved and the finger printing for 485 was completed....however, the AP is not approved yet. Is this odd?
In other cases posted by others, I noticed that AP was the first one to be approved and then the EAD.
