I have my EAD card but I am still on H1B. My H1B expires
at the end of this month, so I have to switch over to EAD.

Q1) What do I have to do to switch over to EAD.
Q2) What does the employer have to do?
Q3) What does the attorney have to do?
Q4) Do we need to inform INS in any way?

Thanks in Advance.

I would think: nothing

Just show your HR department the EAD and that should be it.

I do know that I was with a company on an H-1 and when I decided to get another job after I got the EAD, all I did was to show the new company the EAD card.

I think u need to fill a new I-9 form

I think you need to fill out a new I-9 form. We do that when we change from F1 Practical training to H1 or when a H1 has been extended and etc.

Contact your HR rep and they can help you out.

Thanks!

Thanks for your responses. I work for a very small consulting
firm. They don\'t have a big HR dept. If at all, I will have
to educate them and tell them what the process is.

So, pleeaaseee, soomeone confirm what is required of me to switch
to EAD. New I9??

TIA,
Mitr
