I have filed my Green Card in EB3 category from the Texas Service Center and the labour was filed under the Title "Software Engineer Team Lead" .
I filed for my I485 in August 2001
I had my fingerprinting done in April 2003.
My company had layoffs and so I started looking for job.
I am getting a job with a title of Database Programmer with a "Lower salary" in my same state . I intend to use the provisions of the AC 21 law.

Am I safe or am I in a grey area with respect to the Position title and
the salary? With the economy being down I thought a small cut in salary would not cause a problem. I have read Shusterman on this and he says it is OK.

Consult good lawyer.

I think you might be in gray area becuase of salary, but agin salary stated in GC is future salary (after GC approve) so by the time GC approve you might be getting same salary (as you mention it's small difference now).

If you get REF (which happens 2 out of 3 case nowadays), you can negotiate with your employer at that time.

See right now you don't have much choice accpet new offer and work with good lawyer and thier hr department once you hired.

I think it might worked out good for you.
