Help Needed - CP Process

My friend got his I-140 (CP Option) approved on Sep 3rd 2002 and got a letter from INS that his case is transferred to NVC and will receive information from them.

So far, he or his attorney has not received any information or Packet 3. Today he called NVC and talked an officer there and got his MDR Case No.

My questions are:

Will he or his attorney receive any info from NVC ?

Can he do anything to quicken his process ?

Please give your valuable suggestions.
