I want to visit my parents desperately but can't make a decision. My husband came here on F1 and after we got married I got F2 visa stamped in my passport and thus entered US. Then his status changed to H1 and consequently mine to H4. But, neither one of us left US after the change of status. Hence, didn't get H1 stamp in his passport or H4 stamp in my passport. Since, I want to get out of US desperately, I was wondering if it's a necessity to get his passport stamped for H1 before I can apply for stamping of my passport for H4? Can't I face stamping of H4 on my own without him leaving the US and getting his passport stamped?
