I'm currently on H4 and my husband is on H1. His H1 expires on September 23 2009 which means that my H4 also expires on the same day.
His company has applied for L1 last week for him (instead of H1 extension; I don't know the reason for this) but they have not applied for L2 for me. I have decided to apply for L2 through an attorney. I would like to know when should I apply for L2? If my husband's status changes to L1 before I get my L2 approval, can I continue to stay till my L2 is approved? Or, will USCIS approve both at once (though they have been filed at different times)? Appreciate your help
