My current H1B expried Jan 1st 2004. I have applied for my Sixth year H1B extension in December 2003, still pending approval. I have an approved I 140 and my I 485 has been pending for more than an year. I also have an approved advance parole valid till December 2004.
I'm planning to travel to India this May, during the visit I'm planning to get my H1B stamped from Chennai Consulate. I would really appreciate if some one answers my following questions:
1) Can I return to US on my Advance Parole if my H1B gets denied
at the consulate for some reason.
2) My current H1 and also the extension was applied by Company A. Recently my company got bought by Company B. Will this affect my stamping?
