H1B and 485-EAD

Hi Rajiv,

This is Ravi S. Have a question on H1 and 485-EAD.

Question: Is it possible to use H1B (For primary job) and 485-EAD (for secondary job like side business) at the same time? If not, then using 485-EAD, how can I maintain the H1B status?

No. "Working" outside of H1b violates H1b status. However, depending what your "side business" is, it might not be considered working.

There is no way to maintain H1b status and work outside of H1b. It might be possible to get a concurrent H1b if both jobs can do H1b.

Is it safe to be on 485-EAD only until the date becomes current? Any chances of rejection or denial?
