For the several mths I have been a member of this forum, I haven't seen an answer to my question which is:
Can I apply for an H1B with my CGC?

Oh ok. I'm so anal with planning too, so I hear you. That's probably why waiting for my green card has been SO difficult and crippling for me, because it made me feel so helpless and powerless over my life/my future. I have a feeling you can identify
I see the point of a back-up plan, especially since yours is a conditional card.
I guess you can call USCIS and see what they say. Good luck!

Obtaining H1B before abandoning GC.

The act of obtaining a non-immigrant visa would be construed as abandonment of the GC.
I second that and i think that's something unnecessary to do as well.
jupiter07,why? you should be thinking of doing H1 for others now..not for yourself
