H1 transfer without working

Hi All,
I'm on H4 visa and company A sponsored H1b for me for the current year and it has been approved.
Now company B is offering me a better job profile and are ready to transfer my visa.
Can visa transfer be done to B?

If it is with in a week you can transfer A to B.
More than a pay period, only proof that you are in H1 status is pay stub from company A.

If you do not have pay stub from A, then you are out of status and not eligible for H1 transfer, however your H1 may be approved and again you need to go for stamping your H1 in your pp before start working with B.
