H1-B first entry into US

Hi,

I want to apply for H1-B. In the case i am approved for H1-B i want to know what is the last date i can enter into US? And how long they stamp H1-B visa for?

usually i797 is valid for 3 years right?
I guess employer does not specify no of years he want to employ me in h1-b application.

Hi,

-- You don't apply H1 US employer file the H1 petition with USCIS.
In the case i am approved for H1-B i want to know what is the last date i can enter into US?
------------------- you will need H1 approval notice and other documents from employer then you go for H1 visa stamping(if out of US). if the US employer has job for you you can enter US with H1 visa.
And how long they stamp H1-B visa for?
---normally 3 years.
