My wife is on H1B and I am a GC holder.
In March 2003 - after our marriage, she got an H1 and we were very fortunate to get the stamping from New Delhi after disclosing to the consular that she is married to a GC holder.
Her H1 is expiring in Nov. 2005. The extension is applied for. Now we are planning to go to India in December. If we visit India, then once more we will have to go to New Delhi US Embassy to get her H1B stamped for the same employer.
We are debating going to India before I get my citizenship. I am eligible to apply Oct 2006.
1). Is going for H1B Extension stamping the same as going for the Original H1B stamping.
2). Any experiences of those who are in GC and H1B situation.
3). She does not have a CS Bachelors, but has the courses and experience.
4). Her employer has 40 employees with US Govt etc.. as clients.
I would appreciate any advice.
