Gurus Please help. A question abt EAD, AP and RFE

i received a RFE on August 08 2004 and i am supposed to respond to it by November 08 2004. In the mean time, i have also applied for my wife's 485 2 days ago. Now the problem is that my current AP and EAD are expriing in 2 months from now. Can i apply for new EAD and AP even though a RFE has already been issued on my 485 case. some how i have an impression that once a RFE is issued, service centers do not issue extension of EAD and AP.

I have not responded to my RFE yet.

Gurus please help. i would be so thankful.

the EAD and AP are separate and can be done at any time.

I don't see a problem with applying now for replacements to them.

I would suggest do it now especially the EAD so you don't get in trouble with that. Maybe hold off on the AP until then unless you have any plans to use it in the next 6 months.
