Green Card Through Marriage But Not Living Together?

So my boyfriend and I have been together for almost 3 years, and we're planning on getting married. I am an overstay but I am under the Deferred Action program.

However, I have a contract to stay on my UC campus. My boyfriend is a Marine stationed in California as well.

Would it still be possible to get a green card with this arrangement?

It's not a problem. They are very understanding of military couples' situations. Once you marry him, he can add you to as a dependent for military benefits, and then you can bring those papers to the interview. Also bring evidence of the ongoing relationship, like phone bills showing you calling each other, and pictures of both of you together at recognizable places (especially places far away).
