Well, we only have few people in this forum so it does not represent reality. You may be right that they are doing it ahead of new fiscal year especially that they take longer time now to get more evidence and this delays applications. note that they discovered that there is less than 2 months left for this fiscal and they did not adjucate many asylees so they suspended doing the employment cases and directed their force work towards the asylum cases. Totally inept!
 
well my Notice date on the I485 receipt is nov. 15 and i have FP tomorrow....

and since i still send them my EAD renewal.. If i send this year you think they will send it back ??

I know i can change SS# status.. Im still just curious....

First of all, as you fully know, you do not have to renew your EAD. Second, it is impossible to know when you will receive your GC. It could be September 04. Third, why would they return the EAD form to you? They want your application fee.

Getting a FP notice does not mean near approval.
