GC stamping, is it required if one has the card ?

Hi ,

Just curious, should i get i also get my passport stamped in addition to having the plastic card. my GC got recently approved and got the email the card has been ordered. not sure if i need to also get my passport stamped ?

Will appreciate any advice/experience.

Stamping is a temporary measure

If you need to travel before the actual card arrives, get your passport stamped with I-551 at your local USCIS office.
Once you have the card, stamping is not required.
