I was in US on H1B for 2 yrs. I got laid-off in June 2001 and came back to India for good in August 2001. (Almost 60 days after I was laid off). My H1B as well as I-94 were valid when I came back. Now I plan to stay in India for another year and then try coming back to US on a new H1B (which I believe will be valid for 6 Yrs). In that case, if I start GC processing on my return, will I have any problems since I was laid-off in the past and stayed in US for almost 60 days without working?
