FP Code 3 - EAD

I wonder if you take FP code 3 for I-485, is it also ok for EAD ? After taking FP, photo and signature which is specifically for I-485, I happened to look at the computer screen, the officer pulled out a screen on the computer which shows form I-765, he said that there code 3 has two benefits, one for I-485, the other for I-765. Is that true ? I am afraid that he is messing up. Besides, he returned the original FP notice copy with stamp on it, is it normal. For my 1st FP, they took the original one, and gave me the form I filled out before FP. Anyone has same experience ???

I am not sure about the I-765 part.

After I completed the FP, my FP notice was also stamped/signed on the back side. I was told to preserve it as a proof for FP completion.

What is the significance of "Code-3"?

I received the notice for "fingerprint".

Anybody knows what the significance of "Code" is. For me it's "3".....
