Fee at the interview

Does the embassy require you to pay the exact amount $775 at the counter or if you gave them like $800 they can give you change??? just to be sure nothing is to be taken for granted on that day..

also, is it paid when you one have been successful at interview or before?
kindly help clarify the financial implication of the Dv interview

In Germany you can pay in $ or €. But they have a very strange conversation rate if you not pay in US$

I know with AOS, even if you paid you are still not guaranteed a visa. I assume the same for CP?

Like Taz said it's better for you to bring $s.
As I know first you pay and then go to consul. The fee is nonrefundable, this means that if someone does not pass the interview they don't give him back the money.
