F1 to H1

Rajiv,

Currently I am on OPT and it will expire on Nov'04. So, I am planning to apply for H1-B Visa in April for the October quota. Do I need to do a premium processing as the normal process might take quite a while and I am worried if quota is utilized even before my application is processed?

I know that going for a premium process is a personal choice but I need your suggestion in aspect.

I prefer premium - I am maybe overly cautious (although CIS has said it should not be needed).
 
H1 Processing Time

Rajiv,

What is the processing time for H1-B normal processing. My employer is based in Natik, MA and he has filed from there itself.
