I am currently on Day 1 CPT and employed. My employer is going to apply my application in the H1B lottery this year. I have another employer(not related to my current employer), who will offer me job soon and will also apply for my H1B lottery. Assuming this is finalised around 2nd week of March 2024, my notice period of 2 weeks would mean that both the companies would have applied for H1B. If I quit my current employer on April 1st, and if I get selected, this time, both of these employer will get that selection intimation and I should be safe to start the new job on April 1st?
Or do I wait until the lottery results and then switch the jobs to avoid any confusion?
Also making sure if the new employer can still apply for my H1b lottery even though I will be starting the job probably after the H1B results?
