F 1 and F 3 Family based Immigrant Visa waiting time infos

Hello everyone,

I would like to know how long does it usually take to get an F3 family based immigrant visa?
My mom is a U.S. citizen and I'm over 21, married, and I have kids.
I'm currently considering getting sponsored by her but the waiting time is kind of an issue for me.
I read somewhere that if a sponsorhip has been filed for someone, he won't be able to get a visitor visa while the application is pending; is that correct?
My mom has already submitted a sponsorship for two of my siblings (F1 category), any idea how long it usually takes?

You can check the visa bulletin yourself. Currently the F3 category has a wait of 11+ years for most countries (longer for Mexico and the Philippines).

It's not correct that the beneficiary of a petition cannot get a visitor visa, but it may be harder, especially in the last few years when the priority date gets closer to being current.
