When did u apply?

I want to know how long it took - the whole process.

Might not be a good idea to ask for a second extension. maybe better to leave the country and come back after few months.
just my thoughts.

What service center did you file your case to? I filed same case for my mother-in-law at NSC and the receipt date was 10/8/02. I called INS yesterday and the officer told that they are currently review cases filed in August last year. Thanks in advance.

Documents needed for B-2 extension

What are all the documents needed for B-2 extension ?
The following are what I gathered from reading the posts in this group.

Check for $140
Original I-94
Letter explaning reason for extension

What should we do if INS doesn't say anything (Regarding the extension) before the expiry of the I-94 ?

What happens when INS doesn't say anything about stay extension keeping the I-94 card ?
Aren't we supposed to submit I-94 during departure ?

Thanks

List of documents for Vistor Visa Extension

For the question which service center, by rrr ggg and chazhs, the answer would be CSC, since the reciept number is WAC.

For the list of documents - I agree that there isn't enough information in any of the web site. But one of them had posted the list of documents in the same forum. for your convienience once again the list is as follows:

- Cover letter listing all attached documents.
- INS filing fee in amount of $140 (personal check).
- Form I-539 Application.
- Orginal I-94 cards, front and back.(Keep a copy front
and back with you), some people have sent copies and have recieved the approvals. so its upto you.
- Copies of the Passport (visitors), pages that include
+ passports issue date and expire date (first 3 pages)
+ last admission stamp in US
+ current visa that was used to enter US.
- Letter explaining why extension of stay is required.
- Affidavit of Support Form I-134 signed by sponsor
- Employment letter
- Acct. verification letter from the Bank showing available
sources to support them during their stay.
- Copy of return flight tickets

For more accurate information you can always consult the attorney.

Lawyers advise you against this. I didn't send the originals either..

Wondering how long it takes

The JIT report currently shows that they are processing cases received on or before 11.25.2002

I-539 Application for Extension of Stay for Other Nonimmigrant 11.25.2002

But Arun_Mehta says his Receipt date was around 11/25 and he got approved by jan 1st week?

The automated voice mail at INS says it takes between 28-30 days to process the case.
