hi there,
i am new to this website, but have been reading on.
i am a 3rd year in a 4th year residency program in ER on a j1 visa(husband has a registered business on J2).
I am just wondering the best time to start my search..
How early can i apply for a state licence
How do you find out which hospital sponsor ji waiver( do i just keep calling)
Is it better to have a state licence b/4 i start apply for jobs.
When will it be appropriate to start sending my cv...do not want to do it early or too late.

Also how easy is it for my husband to change to an H1

PS...any ERdoc on a waiver out there, will appreciate pointers on which hospital does ji waiver

ER J-1 waiver

Iam ER resident and just applied for J-1 waiver.Here is my exprience:
1- J-1 waiver for ER is uncommon.
2- Most of ERs are covered by group and they don't support J-1 waiver.
3- start to look for job as soon as possible,
4- there are five spots in each states for nonunderserved area, try them.
5-talk wih all of big companies in ER field, like EMP, Emcare,...
