Hi all,

I am an engineer by qualification from Canada and have been working in the IT sector (Business Analysis) in Canada (citizen) for the last 3 years.

I am also a self taught securities analyst, who interviewed at an asset management firm in the US. I am working towards a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and have taken a few economics and accounting courses in university (10-15 credits).

Job description:
-examine financial information in order to make sound suggestions to businesses on how to invest money.
- use statistical software and spreadsheets to analyze the facts they gather and report on them
-look at all the factors in the industry that influence the price of the companies' stocks
-study a company's financial status to see how much the company is earning compared with others in the industry

What category would I qualify under for a TV status? Management Consultant?
 
You must be qualified for the job you are seeking a visa for. Your "self taught" status with a few courses but no degree with no track record is not likely to be accepted as qualification.
