EAD-F1 status question

Please help:

My husband is on F1 visa. I became citizenand applied for his adjustment of status. He got his FP done in July and now his EAD yesterday.

We have'nt heard anythign about the AOS interview yet.

Now we have some doubts.

- Does he still have to maintain his F1 until the the application is approved

or

- He can request the school to remove his name from SEVIS database as he is no longer an F1 student.

I am sure about this as I am in the same boat. I have applied for the GC my wife. Once you have applied for 485/130 at the local service center and it has been accepted, your husband is in "Adjust of status" period. He does not have to maintain his F1 status anymore. He was needed to maintain a leagal status till his 475 was applied...

where did you call ? Did you call the 800 No ? Those guys dont know anything.. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, You will get a clear picture. I specifically spoke to a supervisor and my lawyer. and I got the correct answer...
