DS-156 Mumbai consulate question- Please help

I have a quick question. At Mumbai consulate do they insist on online format of DS-156 or can we download ds-156 back to back and submit as handwritten? I heard about the Barcoded Ds-156 but when I print it just shows BARCODE as text? Is that normal?

You can download back to back, fill up in black ink in capital letters and submit. Bar code is not applicable to DS-156. Contact me on xxxxxxxxx if you need more information.
