Do we need to surrender I-94s when leaving US?

I would appreciate your feedback.

I am having two I-94s (one I got when I entered last nearly 4 years before and the second one I got when I changed my status from J1 to H1B). MY question when I leave US for a short trip do I need to surrender both I-94s?

i have the same question, also do we have to do us visit (visitor’s arrival in and departure records, finger print)

if YOUR I-485 is approved and got GC then submit both the I-94 (stapled) before you go out

This was my lawyer's response to this question:
"The I-94 is of no consequence once you receive the permanent residency card"

This is Murthy's response:
"You can keep the I-94 for your records after you receive your green card".
