do I need to restart GC processing if I change the State(CA to TX)

HI Friends,

My I-140 filed by July 2001, then I changed the Address to another state(ca to tx) but with the same company. The problem is my HR says if I Change my address I need to restart from the begining.

Please help advise me what is the trick here??
