Decition - CP or K3 for Spousal GC - US Citizen

I am trying to decide which is better, going by I130 & consular processing route or I130 -> K3 -> AOS. Going by each route, how long will it take for the beneficiary to get here and how long would it take to obtain the GC. Appreciate your help.

K3= about 10-12 months, then approx 3 months for AOS and GC.

CR/IR 1 visa = about 10-12 months....visa holder becomes GC upon entry at POE (GC delivered in mail approx 3 weeks after arrival).

(GC delivered in mail approx 3 weeks after arrival).

Don't bet on it being that quick! After arriving on a DS-230, it took 6 weeks for Mom to receive a letter from USCIS with notice of her A-number, and she still hasn't received the actual GC yet. (2 months and counting)

Being with your spouse sooner... but still, having to go through AOS and spend $1500+ on more paperwork.

It all depends on how much control both parties have on their emotions and harmones!!!
