I will be having a medical exam soon for canadian immigration purposes. I have never had a medical examination check before and concerned that something might come up that will stop my immigration process.

Can anyone pls tell me what is done for medical examination? like I have read that there is a physical examination, what does that mean? and what does the doctor check? Also, what sort of diseases can typically bar entry into canada.

Don't worry about it too much. Here is what they did for us.

Took Blood Pressure reading, Temp, Weight, Took Blood Samples for testing, Listened to the hear beat, Doctor just took a quick look on the whole body Overall Physical (you have to undress for that they will provide you a gown)

After this we had to go to the Lab for the X-Rays. They did our Chest X-Ray.

Mostly Canadian Authorities are concerened about TB and HIV or any other contagious disease.

As i said don't worry about it too much otherwise you will unnecessary incraese you Blood Pressure and which will affect your medical exam. Just take a deep breath and go for it :)
