Changing Job after GC

I got my GC about 3 months before. But my employer is not paying me the salary as per LC. It is 19K less. Now i have decided to work directly for their client and submitted my resignation. They are now threatening me with e-mails. They are saying that they will report this to INS and it is illegal to join their client. Neither me nor the client has any existing contract with them which will prevents this. However they keep on telling me that they will use the contracts against me. I feel this is just to scare me.

I feel very safe to join the client given the fact that sponsoring employer is not able to pay the LC salary.

Did anyone come across such a situation. Any advice would be great.

Did you first contact your employer and request an increase in the salary (19K). If Yes then was this request and denial from employers side by email ?

I requested the increase thru e-mail and got a reply saying that the company will try to get a rate increase from the client. But when i checked with the client, they told me that nobody ever called them regd. this.

Bottomline is i did not get a hike.
