Can we travel while AP is pending?

Hi,
We recently filed for our EAD?AP renewals. Spouse wants to travel to India during early December and our applications will not be approved by then. We have our current EAD/APs valid until Feb 2006. Is it ok to travel to India and come back before AP expires while we still have the renewals pending? Does that joepardize the renewal applications?
Spouse has valid H1B too (but not the stamping). Does it alter the equation?

Yes - you can travel without any problems.
 
Our current AP is valid until Feb 2006. Spouse plans to leave for India in Dec-Jan and come back in March. We have applied for AP renewal and waiting for it. Can I mail the AP papers after they are renewed to India so that she can re-enter US in March 2006?

NO

This has been discussed many times before. Either wait until the new AP is approved before leaving, or return before the current one expires.
