Can Immigrant with H1B visa register/start his own business?

Hello friends,
I am a H1B holder working as a software engineer. I just applied for my I-140.
My question is can i register a company and start a new business with my current visa status? If yes what type of company can i register like sole proprietership, LLC or Corporation?

Someone with good knowledge in this subject please guide me.

You can certainly register a business but you can do no work for it.

Hi TheRealCandadian,
Thanks for your instant reply. In this case i think i can register a sole proprietership. I am thinking of doing international trading business that involves import and export. Initially this does not require any man power other than me. Now if i register a business how can i get involved in it? Can you please eloborate more.
