Hi. I'm a long time reader and a first time poster.
I just got TN status approved for a new employer and gave the old employer (also on TN) a two week notice. During the final two weeks, the old employer wants me to fly to Germany on a business trip. My questions are:
1. The new TN was applied via mail (I-129). Does the new TN replace the old TN (thus terminating the old TN), OR is it an additional TN, and the old TN is effective until my employment with the old employer is terminated? The old TN expires in Feb 2012 and the new TN has already started.
2. If the old TN is still effective, I assume I am still allowed to work for the old employer and can travel with the old I-94. Would the border officials be wary of my situation if I'm still working for the old employer while my new TN was approved for a new employer?
